Common Questions about Tax-Exemption

Will it slow the processing of my order down?

Tax-exempt orders will only be processed after your paperwork has been reviewed and approved by our accounting department.

Can I send my tax id number or a picture of my sales tax license?

State law requires us to have a signed sales tax-exemption form on file before we can ship orders. Any other documents, licenses, tax id numbers, etc. are not acceptable as a tax-exempt form.

If I place another order in the future do I need to send in the form again?

If you are ordering online and create an online account at checkout (not a guest checkout) we have the ability to flag your account as tax-exempt for future orders and will not require a new form if the form we have on file is not expired.

You are not charging tax for my state; do I still need to pay tax on my end?

If you are ordering online Even if we do not collect sales tax from you, you may owe sales tax on your purchase. Your state most likely requires purchasers to report and pay tax on all purchases that are not taxed at the time of sale. The tax may be reported and paid on your individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return. For more information, please visit your state's department of revenue website or speak with your accountant.
