want to put on a brake light hitch cover, the cover has a male 4 pin and the 7 pin male end on the truck(2016 ram 1500)4 pin 7 pin set up on the truck , will this work with the hook up (7 pin) and stop light cover( 4 pin ) if so does it come in 12 in long not sure if ur hook up will be long enough

This adapter is for European vehicles and is typically used on Land Rovers. Part 118709 will convert from a 7 way to a 4 way. If you need length, we recommend part 78007, which is retractable.

Will this iten work going from 4 pin on vehicle to 7 pin on the trailer

This trailer wiring adapter has the vehicle side 4 pin plug so it is designed to work with the 4 pin on the trailer to a 7 pin connector on the vehicle. It will not work with a 7 Pin on the trailer.
