Customer Q&A - Air Lift 25592

Hi I would like to know what diameter the gauge is. I don't have access to my truck' it's in storage' I bought an A pillar mount, and I would like to know if I need any adapters to mount the gauge. The hole is 2 1/16" in the pillar. Thank You

Asked
I contacted Airlift, and they let me know that the gauge in the 25592 kit is 2''. Also we have another Airlift kit 25850 that would really work well with the A Pillar Mount.

will this compressor work with the load lifter 5000?

Asked
Yes, air lift kit 25592 will work with an Air Lift LoadLifter 5000. It is a light duty compressor and will work for infrequent inflating. Air Lift recommends 25856 with the 5000 series kits, which has a heavier duty compressor, but we do have customers running the 25592.

Is there a check valve available, it leaks air out through compressor , would be nice if it maintained pressure all the time.

Asked
This compressor has a built in check valve so air should not be returning through the compressor itself. I spoke with Air Lift about this issue and they informed me if you contact them directly they can provide you with a replacement compressor or if the compressor is functioning well otherwise they will provide a inline check valve to remedy this problem.

The installation manual indicates that this kit comes with only 10' of air line. Is that in addition to the air line in the harnesses? I want to add this system to my Firestone air bags at the rear of my truck. 10' would not be enough to go from the engine compartment to the rear of the vehicle. Exactly how much hose does the kit come with and how much additional would you recommend I purchase for my application?

Asked
The 10' of air line is in addition to the wiring harness # 1 and #2 shown in the instructions for Air LIft compressor 25592. We have not had any problems installing the compressor kit on pickup trucks and rear mounted air bags. You should not need any additional air line for the install. Part number 451030A on our website is the 1/4 inch air line that is used in the kit if you would like to order additional air line, but it should not be necessary.

Can you inflate and deflate the suspension from the gauge?

Asked
Air Lift air compressor kit 25592 allows you to inflate and deflate the air springs from inside the cab using the gauge.

Hi, Will this kit work well with an Airlift 1000?

Asked
Air Lift load controller II air compressor kit 25592 will work well with all Air Lift 1000 air spring kits. It is the most commonly used air compressor kit used with the Air Lift 1000 air spring kits.

how many of these do you see come back needing repair? it bothers me that the description says for "occasional use" what is the average life span of this compressor?

Asked
Air Lift air compressor kit 25592 has been around for years and we see very few coming back for repairs. The air compressor kit should last the life of your vehicle if used properly. Air Lift 25592 air compressor is labeled for "occasional use' because it has a 15% duty cycle. If you are only towing on the weekends and not constantly inflating your air springs, the 25592 kit will work fine for you. If you are planning on using it on a work truck and are inflating / deflating your air springs constantly, we recommend an air compressor kit with a higher duty cycle rating. Air lift air compressor kit 25592 is a great economical setup for a weekend camper, etc.

The Air Lift Company has been developing air spring suspension products for over 50 years. The original product, a rubber air spring inserted into a car's factory coil spring, was developed and patented in 1950.

The versatility of Air Lift air springs were proven during the early years of stock car racing. Air Lifts were used by most of the stock car racing teams for twenty years or so until the racing suspensions evolved to more sophisticated systems. The Air Lift Company sponsored cars were tough competitors on the NASCAR Grand National Circuit. The Air Lift Company has the longest history of product development dedicated solely to the development of light vehicle air suspension products.

First, in the 1950s, Air Lift pioneered the use of air spring inserts in coil spring suspensions. Then, in the 1960s, Air Lift introduced the use of sleeve-type air springs on pickup truck suspensions. During the 1980s Air Lift started using air helper springs on motor homes and ambulances. Street rods and lowered vehicles were the target in the 1990s. Today's products are an evolution of Air Lift's breakthrough development programs applying the use of air springs in light truck and motor home suspensions. Air Lift has won more SEMA awards for air spring development products than any other company.
