We do have customers using the 2158 air compressors on F-350 Superduty trucks. They are designed for less frequent use. If you are frequently inflating and deflating your air springs we recommend the 2097 kit.

Can the system be installed on the front of my suspension to support a snow plow

Firestone Level Command II is designed to inflated and deflate Firestone air springs. This kit is not vehicle specific and works with all Firestone Coil-Rite, Ride-Rite and Sport Rite air spring kits. We do have suspension kits that are designed to help support snow plows, but would need to know the year, make and model of your vehicle. If you already have an air bag kit on the front, this air compressor kit will work with all Firestone and Air Lift kits.

Can you mount a Fir 2128 in any orientation ,i.e. upside down.

These compressors can be mounted in any orientation.

Is there an optional kit to have the air bags be independent of each other? At present I air mine up at the back bumper, through separate lines. I prefer this, as if the truck leans to one side, such as getting too far onto the shoulder, it can push air out one bag into the other, causing a serious hazard. Thanks in advance.

Firestone air compressor kit 2178 is the dual control version of this air compressor kit. It will allow you to inflate both air bags independently.

Can you use the compressor for other inflating needs also, like filling tires. Or is it just made for use with the springs?

Firestone air compressor kit 2158 will not inflate tires, etc. It is designed to connect directly to your air springs and does not air up other items. Firestone air compressor kit 2168 includes an air tank and and inflation wand. The 2168 will inflate your air springs, tires, etc.

How do you release the air pressure in the bag?

Firestone Level Command II air compressor kit has a paddle switch to inflate / deflate your air bags. You simply push the paddle switch up to inflate the air bags and push the paddle switch down to deflate the air bags.

will gauge fit into a 3 or 4 gauge pod? Thanks for any help with this.

The Firestone level command air compressor kit 2158 includes a control panel that mounts to the dash or under the dash. The control panel has the gauge built into it. The dimensions of the control panel are 4.38" wide x 2.75" tall. The gauge that is included in the kit is a 2 inch gauge with a 2.25" face. You could mount the 2 inch gauge into a mounting pod if you wanted to take it out of the control panel that comes with the Firestone 2158 air compressor kit.

We typically use Firestone air compressor mounting kit 2497 with the 2158 air compressor kit and mount the compressor on the frame rail. We try to mount it up near the front of the vehicle to prevent road spray, etc. If you can find room under the hood in your F-350, that is also an option also.

Firestone warrants its HD Air Spring products against defects in workmanship or material for a period of 2 years.

What this warranty does not cover

Damage from accidents, corrosion, improper installation, incorrect applications, overloading, and custom applications that are not specified under the OEM cross references. This warranty does not cover loss of freight, loss of profit, equipment, or personal downtime.
