Rough Country - 243.20 Suspension Lift Kit

Rough Country 6 inch Suspension Lift Kit 243.20 for the 4WD Chevy S10, Blazer and GMC Sonoma, Jimmy comes with everything you need to go off the pavement and into the mudholes. The kit was designed to preserve factory ride quality, featuring several brackets and hardware designed to keep optimum angles of all components after lifting. The kit includes fabricated brackets, front and rear crossmembers, and a 3/16 inch grade 50 plate steel skid plate to give your vehicle enough ride height to run up to 265/75-16 tires with a 16x8 wheel. All backed by a life time warranty.

This kit will not work on a 2WD S-10. The only lift kit that we currently carry that will work on a 1997 S-10 2WD is the Rough Country 225N2. This is a 2" Lift kit.

What cutting and drilling is needed to fit this to my 2001 GMC Jimmy

This kit is very involved and we have the full installation instructions with color photos available to download under the specifications for this kit. Just to summarize here is the cutting and drilling required for install. Front - Cut: lower differential mount, bump stops, upper control arm pocket, upper control arm bump stop, factory stabilizer mounts, front lower control arm pocket, top differential ear, differential fins, exhaust, Drill: upper control arms, frame for cross member relocation, 4x4 actuator bracket..Rear - Cut: brake line brackets

Rough Country kit 243.20 fits the 1995-2004 4 door Jimmy. This kit will not fit a 2005 2 door model.

Will this fit my 2001 S10 Crew Cab 4x4? If not, how is it so different from an S10 Extended Cab that this kit will not fit my truck? I have not been able to get a straight answer from my local 4X4 Shops other than it will not fit. Thanks.

I spoke with Rough Country and the compatibility issues with this kit on the Crew Cab models comes down to the cross-members, the design and the positioning is different and makes this kit not compatible.

This Rough Country 243.20 kit will not fit the 2 door S-10 Blazers. Currently the lifts that we carry for the S-10 Blazer are not compatible with the AWD option they will only work with the 4X4 option.

Rough Country products are warranted to be free from defects in material and craftsmanship for the time periods listed. Some suspension components are prone to gradual wear and tear over time and therefore are not covered within the Lifetime Replacement Warranty.

Warranty Guard

This free protection supplements your manufacturer's warranty, guaranteeing that if you are denied repair due to having a Warranty Guard protected product on your vehicle, then Rough Country will foot the bill for your repair! For up to 5 years / 100K miles / or until your manufacturer's warranty ends, if there is a failure of a factory warranty-covered part due to installation of a Rough Country suspension product, Rough Country will cover the repairs at a factory authorized shop - all you pay is a $100 deductible!

What the warranty does not cover

Wear and tear items such as mountings, bushings, diminished shock and stabilizer dampening resistance, finish, dents and scratches, as these components and issues can wear out or occur naturally over time. These items are covered under a separate Limited Warranty along with other non-suspension items listed above. Replacements for non-defective items broken during off-road use may incur shipping charges.
