SumoSpring Solo

The Solo Sumospring is a one piece component that is fixed to one side, used to replace or upgrade the vehicles factory bump stops. SumoSprings Solo is a one-piece, homogenous unit attached on only one side via various mechanisms. The Solo is manufactured in a variety of heights, diameters and densities to support multiple applications.

SumoSpring Solo

All SumoSprings are manufactured from proprietary closed microcellular urethane which yields a combination of uniquely distinctive properties. The materials density, tensile strength, elongation, tear resistance, rebound, and compression characteristics have been designed specifically to produce a smooth ride and provide additional load support.

SumoSpring Densities

In addition to the above mounting styles, SumoSprings are also available in three densities. SumoSpring helper springs densities are distinguished according to color as shown below, ranging from light and medium, to heavy duty. When multiple densities are available, pick the density that best suits your needs and ride preferences.

The Blue-40 density traps more air in the millions of micro-cellular bubbles, making an air spring sufficient for light and medium duty performance.

what is the difference between the yellow ssr-206- 54 and the black ssr-206 47?

The difference between SumoSprings kits SSR-206-47 and the SSR-206-54 is the weight capacities. The SSR-206-47 is rated at 1,500LBS @ 50% compression and the SSR-206-54 is rated at 2,800LBS @ 50% compression.

Do these replace the rear leaf spring bump stop. (black wedge shaped rubber held from above in the boxed frame rail)? My OE ones have 1 1/4" space between it and the metal platform stop. With 3 1/4" from boxed frame to stop. Will these give any lift? My front bump stops are in full contact with the stop. Are ones for the front able to give any lift? Express3500

Yes, SumoSprings replace the factory bump stop with a taller and higher capacity spring. They are not designed to provide lift above factory ride height, but they will help lift the vehicle back up to stock ride height and keep it level. You can view the installation instructions on our website and they show them next to the factory OEM bump stop. The front ones are similar that they will prevent sagging, but are not designed to provide lift above stock.

What the warranty does not cover

Vehicle use in excess of GVWR, combined vehicle weights/ tow ratings or other OEM design specifications or limitations. Normal wear and tear, deterioration of spring shape or rating, alteration, product modification, improper installation or failure to maintain. Scratches or defects in product finishes (powder coating, paint, etc.) or damage due to shipping. Abnormal or misuse, including products used other than as recommended in the current SuperSprings™ application guide or the instructions. Racing or other vehicle competitions or contests. Accidents, impact by rocks, trees, obstacles or other aspects of the environment. Heavily loaded commercial use on unpaved road conditions.
