The green LED display tells you that the unit is on and there is a complete circuit with the trailer brakes.

As braking power is applied, the LED changes color gradually from green to red, to indicate relative braking power.

The advanced electronics in the Voyager minimizes false braking, to give you a smoother ride, even on the roughest roads.

Tech Tip: Note: Not recommended for use with BMW X5 Sport utility vehicles.

I have a 2009 chevy silverado 4x4 HD 6.0. I believe this product would fit, can you confirm. Also does this product include the wiring?

The 9030 brake controller comes with wiring to hard wire the brake controller. Unfortunately, they do not make a plug and play harness for the 2009 Silverado, so it will have to be hard wired.

I own a BMW X5 2105 and the dealer installed a 4 wire hookup electric brake controller connection accessible in the trunk. I was looking at buying a Tekonsha Voyager EBC 9030. The tech tip mentioned that it is not recommended for use with a BMW X5 SUV. Is there another model which would be compatible with the X5? Andre

The only aftermarket brake controller that Tekonsha recommends using with the X5 line is the Prodigy RF 90250. Due to the vehicle's multiplex wiring system other brake controllers may interfere with the function of some of the vehicle's systems.

Tekonsha offers a 1 year limited warranty on all products. Some products have longer warranty coverage periods. This coverage is item by item and you should review the warranty information included.

What the warranty does not cover

Normal wear and tear over time, damage from abuse or neglect, corrosion, and damage resulting from accidents is not covered. Improper installation including welding will void any warranty. Any alteration of products beyond the included installation instructions will void the warranty.
