U-Bolt Nuts and Washers

Replacing hardware is an important part of performing quality suspension repairs. After U-Bolts have been used and torqued, they should always be replaced. The same can be said for the nuts and the washers used to secure the U-bolts. When U-bolts are torqued, the material will stretch and the threads on both the material and the nut will deform slightly. When these items are reused it may not be possible to achieve the recommended torque values needed to hold the suspension components in place.
