Rough Country 867 Details

Rough Country 2.5 inch Suspension Lift Kit 867 for the 2WD/4WD Nissan Frontier and Xterra will give your vehicle greater ride height and achieve killer good looks. The easy to install kit features a set of strut spacers attach to the top of the strut, with no strut disassembly required. Also included are a set of 3/8 inch plate steel shackles, engineered to preserve factory ride quality and reduce driveline vibrations. These heavy duty shackles provide lift height easily and effectively, while their beefy design and powdercoat finish are durable enough to hold up to the elements. The shackle kit includes a set of DOM tubed bolt sleeves and Grade 8 hardware giving you strength and piece of mind knowing the strong sleeves and bolts won't break or split like cheaper alternatives.

According to Rough Country, Lift kit 867 does not fit the Pro-4X Models.

Bought this product. I was wondering what rear shocks you recommend.

We recommend Bilstein shocks for a 2 inch lift. Bilstein has a few different part numbers that vary with what your Frontier or Xterra you have. I was looking to buy rear Timbren rubber springs since I want to help support my payload, so my question is would a lift kit be better or not.

Timbren rubber springs will work better for load support than a lift kit. Timbren springs are designed specifically to support extra weight. Lift kits are designed more for appearance rather than load support. The Timbren springs will not lift your truck above stock height, but will prevent it from sagging when a load is applied. Lift kits will lift you above stock height, but will not provide extra suspension support to prevent it from sagging.

A lift kit is designed to provide lift but not extra load support. If you are looking to help your payload and prevent the rear from sagging, we recommend a Timbren SES kit.

Rough Country products are warranted to be free from defects in material and craftsmanship for the time periods listed. Some suspension components are prone to gradual wear and tear over time and therefore are not covered within the Lifetime Replacement Warranty.

Warranty Guard

This free protection supplements your manufacturer's warranty, guaranteeing that if you are denied repair due to having a Warranty Guard protected product on your vehicle, then Rough Country will foot the bill for your repair! For up to 5 years / 100K miles / or until your manufacturer's warranty ends, if there is a failure of a factory warranty-covered part due to installation of a Rough Country suspension product, Rough Country will cover the repairs at a factory authorized shop - all you pay is a $100 deductible!

What the warranty does not cover

Wear and tear items such as mountings, bushings, diminished shock and stabilizer dampening resistance, finish, dents and scratches, as these components and issues can wear out or occur naturally over time. These items are covered under a separate Limited Warranty along with other non-suspension items listed above. Replacements for non-defective items broken during off-road use may incur shipping charges.
