Leaf Springs 69-293 Details

Leaf Springs Important Role

Your leaf springs are one of the most important parts of your trucks suspension. If your leaf springs are shot or showing fatigue from old age, it is recommended to change them both out at the same time. If you only change one leaf spring, it is common that your truck will lean toward the side with the older leaf spring. If you purchase one leaf spring and decided to replace the other one at a later date, you may receive a spring from another manufacturer as we source our springs from multiple manufacturers. It is recommend to replace them in pairs to guarantee a match.

Replacing your leaf springs with a high quality OEM leaf spring from Michigan Truck Spring will help improve your ride in the following ways:

  • Less bounce, which means more solid contact with the road and therefore longer tire life.
  • Driver comfort is greatly improved.
  • Your payload sits tight, significantly reducing cargo damage.
  • Smoother ride and less bottoming out.
  • Safety! Your truck will handle better which means it's safer.

All the leaf springs at TruckSpring.com are made to or exceed OEM quality:

  • Made from SAE 5160 Steel, Same as OEM leaf springs.
  • All raw steel is manufactured by steel mills that use the continuous cast (Stran-cast) process, same as OEM leaf springs.
  • Each leaf from the leaf springs is shot peened to specific intensity and coverage.
  • Each leaf spring is coated to prevent corrosion and rust.

If you have any questions about how to identify the correct leaf spring for your vehicle or need bolts or other replacement parts, call us at 1-800-358-4751.

Customer Q&A - Leaf Springs 69-293

Hello- was just wondering if product is the pack of 4 springs or just 1 individual spring? Thank you.

Asked
The price is for one complete leaf spring assembly. One spring will do one side of your Xterra. Feel free to call us at 800-358-4751 if you have any questions.

i heard that you should replace u-bolts when changing these out. if thats true, do you have one available with the part number?

Asked
The most common u-bolt used with leaf spring 69-293 is part 5-0816K. This is a 1/2 inch diameter, 3 inches wide and 6-3/4 long. We always recommend confirming by measuring your existing u-bolts and they can vary from year to year.

Says that front bushings are included but not rear. Do I have to buy rear bushings separately?

Asked
Yes, the rear bushings used are part number HB-1110, 2 per spring are required.

I own a 2004 Nisan Xterra. I ride on a slightly taller tire. I have replace the leaf springs at least 4 times now. Should I be looking into more of a 'lift kit' spring?

Asked
We would recommend installing a SuperSprings helper spring kit, SSA1. It will give your leaf springs extra support and prevent them from wearing out so soon with the taller tires. Another option would be to have your leaf springs arched more to accommodate for the taller tires. We do not have any lifted springs available for the Xterra, they would have to be custom arched.

do the mounting eye bolts come with this? if not, which ones do I order?

Asked
We currently do not have the mounting bolts at this time. They are metric and can be purchased at from a Nissan Dealer or local nut / bolts store.

Are these springs for both 2x4 and 4x4 Nissan Xterras?

Asked
Replacement leaf spring 69-293 fit the 2005-2014 Nissan Xterra 4x4 or 4x2. If you have a 4x2 you should change both springs as these have a 1/4 inch difference in arch as the 4x2 from the factory. The arch on these Nissan Xterra replacement leaf springs is the same as the factory 4x4 leaf springs.

Leaf Springs

At TruckSpring / Michigan Truck Spring, we obtain our leaf springs from various sources throughout the world. All of the manufacturers that we represent produce leaf springs that are as good as or better quality than OEM springs.

Virtually no vehicle manufacturer actually manufactures their own leaf springs. Like many other truck components, leaf springs are purchased from companies specializing in supplying parts to truck manufacturers. The springs we sell have the same or better quality as OEM springs and many times are purchased from the same manufacturer.

Leaf Springs Warranty

1 Year Limited Warranty

On all leaf springs.

What the warranty does not cover

Damage from accidents, corrosion, improper installation, incorrect applications, overloading, and custom applications that are not specified under the OEM cross references. This warranty does not cover loss of freight, loss of profit, equipment, or personal downtime. Any alteration of products will void the warranty. Warranty is void if new u-bolts are not installed when the new leaf spring is installed. Using existing u-bolts is a common cause for leaf spring breakage and failure.
