Leaf Springs 90-235 Details

Leaf Springs Important Role

Your leaf springs are one of the most important parts of your trucks suspension. If your leaf springs are shot or showing fatigue from old age, it is recommended to change them both out at the same time. If you only change one leaf spring, it is common that your truck will lean toward the side with the older leaf spring. If you purchase one leaf spring and decided to replace the other one at a later date, you may receive a spring from another manufacturer as we source our springs from multiple manufacturers. It is recommend to replace them in pairs to guarantee a match.

Replacing your leaf springs with a high quality OEM leaf spring from Michigan Truck Spring will help improve your ride in the following ways:

  • Less bounce, which means more solid contact with the road and therefore longer tire life.
  • Driver comfort is greatly improved.
  • Your payload sits tight, significantly reducing cargo damage.
  • Smoother ride and less bottoming out.
  • Safety! Your truck will handle better which means it's safer.

All the leaf springs at TruckSpring.com are made to or exceed OEM quality:

  • Made from SAE 5160 Steel, Same as OEM leaf springs.
  • All raw steel is manufactured by steel mills that use the continuous cast (Stran-cast) process, same as OEM leaf springs.
  • Each leaf from the leaf springs is shot peened to specific intensity and coverage.
  • Each leaf spring is coated to prevent corrosion and rust.

If you have any questions about how to identify the correct leaf spring for your vehicle or need bolts or other replacement parts, call us at 1-800-358-4751.

Customer Q&A - Leaf Springs 90-235

Need to order both right & left side leaf springs part& 90-235

Asked
90-235 is the right side spring 2001-2004 Tacoma 4x4 and PreRunner. It fits Extra cab models only. The left side spring is part 90-237

I have a 2013 Tacoma with 3 leaves and a helper making a total of 4 springs. Will this fit. My passenger side!?

Asked
The 90-235 spring fits 2001-2004 only and will not fit a 2013. We would need more info on your vehicle. Is it a 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive? What type of cab is it? Extra cab, Extended cab, crewcab, 4 door? Feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751 and we can help identify the correct replacement leaf spring for your 2013 Toyota Tacoma.

My 2002 Tacoma Prerunner with 3.4 V6 and 2WD is designed to carry 1500 LBS, but it has trouble carrying 500 LBS. Are these springs designed to allow my truck to carry its rated load? Also, are these springs covered by a warranty? What are the warranty details?

Asked
These Tacoma springs are designed to function in the same way the new OEM springs did. With the wear and tear over time on the original springs it is normal to see even small weights causing sag. Replacing the worn springs with these will allow the truck to carry weight as it did when it was new. For increased payload capacity you would nee to add on a helper such as a Timbren or an Air bag kit. Our leaf springs are covered by a 1 year warranty against defects. What the warranty does not cover: Damage from accidents, corrosion, improper installation, incorrect applications, overloading, and custom applications that are not specified under the OEM cross references. This warranty does not cover loss of freight, loss of profit, equipment, or personal downtime. Any alteration of products will void the warranty

Will this work with a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab TRD OffRoad Package? Also, what else am I likely to need with it; Ubolts, etc?

Asked
The 90-235 is the correct spring for the right side. 90-237 is the left side spring. Additionally U-bolts should be replaced for safety reasons. If the spring eye bolts need to be replaced they will be metric and we do not have them. Stock U-bolts should be 9/16" X 2-9/16" Square X 8-5/8" Long. Feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751 if you have any questions.

will these fit my 2002 Toyota Tacoma 2WD extended cab and is this for both sides or just one side ? Thanks

Asked
90-235 / 90-237 will fit the 2WD pre-runner. If the truck is not a pre-runner using these springs may result in a lower than stock ride height. The correct springs for a 2002 Tacoma 2WD are a 90-267 / 90-269. The price is per leaf spring. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751.

I need to know if this will fit my 2001 tacoma double cab 4x4? I will also need to know what replacement hardware is needed to replace the springs?

Asked
The correct replacement springs for a 2001 Tacoma Double Cab 4X4 are 90-275 (Right Side) and 90-277 (Left Side). The 90-235 and 90-237 can be used but the arch is higher and they will change the appearance of the truck. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751.

I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner, V6, 2WD, double cab. Do you know whether these leaf springs will fit? Thanks. Chris

Asked
This Toyota replacement leaf spring (90-235) is a right side spring for the extra cab. The springs are built with the same fitment but different arches so your truck may not ride at the correct height if they are replaced with these. The correct springs for a PreRunner are 90-275 (right side) and a 90-277 (left side) Feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751 if you have any questions about Tacoma replacement leaf springs.

Leaf Springs

At TruckSpring / Michigan Truck Spring, we obtain our leaf springs from various sources throughout the world. All of the manufacturers that we represent produce leaf springs that are as good as or better quality than OEM springs.

Virtually no vehicle manufacturer actually manufactures their own leaf springs. Like many other truck components, leaf springs are purchased from companies specializing in supplying parts to truck manufacturers. The springs we sell have the same or better quality as OEM springs and many times are purchased from the same manufacturer.

Leaf Springs Warranty

1 Year Limited Warranty

On all leaf springs.

What the warranty does not cover

Damage from accidents, corrosion, improper installation, incorrect applications, overloading, and custom applications that are not specified under the OEM cross references. This warranty does not cover loss of freight, loss of profit, equipment, or personal downtime. Any alteration of products will void the warranty. Warranty is void if new u-bolts are not installed when the new leaf spring is installed. Using existing u-bolts is a common cause for leaf spring breakage and failure.
